Mohamed Salah Offers Regret to Squad, Says Curtis Jones
Jones has disclosed that the Egyptian forward said sorry to the group of players after the fallout from his recent interview.
What Happened
Salah was left out from a vital match after voicing frustrations and claiming his connection to the head coach had broken down.
“Mo is his own man and he can say his own stuff,” the midfielder said. “His apology was clear and was like: ‘If I’ve affected anybody, I'm sorry.’”
Arne Slot has refused to reveal on whether he received a personal apology from the veteran striker.

The player stated that the team's response stayed normal. “He was his usual self, his demeanour was positive and everybody was exactly the same with him,” the midfielder explained.
Jones also noted that a player's desire to start is a positive trait. “I understand there are different methods you can handle situations,” he said. “But if a lad’s fine to just not start, then I think that’s concerning.”

Their results have stayed unbeaten in the games following the interview fallout. Jones believes the forward's comments were never meant to harm the team.
“If passion has boiled over, the source has been from a good place,” Jones concluded. “It's behind us and we’re building chemistry, performing and starting to win games.”
