Netflix Selects Ideal Performer for Mr. 2 in One Piece Third Season
The Secret Organization is set to make a major impact in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, although the major clash isn’t set to occur until season 3, and a cherished, audience-beloved member has recently been selected.
The streaming service revealed this week that the talented performer has joined the One Piece cast for the third season and will portray Bentham. This character has the ability to transform into an exact copy of anyone they’ve made contact with with their right hand. Escola, who is identifies as non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, will depict a interpretation of that role re-envisioned as non-binary, instead of as a drag artist, in the live-action series, differing from the source material and anime.
The new cast member is joined by several other fresh additions who will portray the group to life, including head Sir Crocodile, portrayed by the well-known actor, Sophia Anne Caruso as another operative, and an accomplished actor, who also joins the ensemble as King Nefertari Cobra of the desert kingdom.
Even though the role is a important part of the group, the persona will be introduced in One Piece season 3. Considering the second season expected to adapt the Little Garden arc, this marks a major departure in the placement of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could signal more adjustments to the plot development.
Escola’s blend of sharp comedic timing and deep sensitivity makes them a standout choice for the part. Besides their recent voice performance in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and multiple awards for writing and starring in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, emphasizing the versatility they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s widely praised roles.
The platform’s adapted One Piece series is set to return for its season two on March 10, 2026.
